Describe the process first
Business process automation means a system performs defined actions when an agreed condition is met. Before choosing a rule, describe the team’s work: how a case starts, its stages, the people responsible and the expected outcome.
Hypris lets you adapt databases, fields and statuses to a process. The platform describes no-code workflows, configured without programming. A specific rule and available actions need to match the workflow you want to support.
Choose a recurring activity
A useful first candidate happens frequently, has clear inputs and produces a predictable result. Look for places where the team copies the same information, checks a status change or manually hands over the next step.
- Does the activity always start under the same condition?
- Is the information it needs stored in the system?
- Is ownership of the result clear?
- Can you recognise when it has worked correctly?
If every case needs a different decision, organise the data and rules first. Automation does not replace a defined process.
Write the trigger and action
Describe a rule in two parts: when it runs and what it does. Include exclusions if some cases should not follow the same step.
A configuration brief: “When a job moves to a defined status, perform the agreed action and assign the result to the named owner”. Verify the available operation during setup or a demo.
Also define what happens when data is missing. If a rule needs an owner, a record without one should not be silently overlooked.
Check the result and exceptions
Test a successful run, missing information and a case where the rule should not run. Check whether repeating the same activity creates unnecessary duplicates.
Review the result in the data: whether the right record was created, ownership assigned and the team can continue. Choose someone to handle exceptions that stop the process.
Document integration requirements separately. Do not assume every external tool can support an action before checking its availability.
Launch one tested step
Start with one rule in one process. Show your team what the system does, which information it needs and when someone should intervene.
After launch, review exceptions and recurring gaps in the data. Add further rules once the first step produces a predictable result and the team understands it.
Bring a recurring activity and its inputs to a Hypris demo. This gives you a concrete basis for defining the setup and checking available operations.
Choose your first automation step
Show a recurring activity from your team. In a demo, check how data, statuses and rules fit the process.
